I don't understand both benchmark tools I mentioned they used 100% of my CPU while the game was fluctuating from 30 to 80%. I also tried -85 mV on the cache and - 170 mV on core and it still crashed but when I tried -103 mV on both core and cache it was completely stable. 3DMark does come with a GPU stress test functionality, but this feature’s only available in the paid version. In other words, a perfect way to test for OC stability. ![]() This is a bit old but free benchmark that can run in an infinite loop. With the 3DMark advanced edition (regular one you can get for 5 on sale), you can loop any of the benchmark tests as long as you want, using the custom run options. ![]() Now when I start up the game after 2-3 minutes my system crashed (no BSOD) and had to restart. Unigine Engines based Heaven benchmark is probably the best utility you can use for testing stability, and its free. For stability testing, there’s the Unigine Heaven benchmark. Like I said, Kombustor and Furmark are not good for testing game stability. So now to my undervolt I can do -210 mV on core and - 105 mV on the cache and it's perfectly stable during Cinebench R23 and during the inbuild benchmark tool in Throttlestop (Tested 6144M on 8 threads). They are both gone now after changes to PP0 and ICCMAX. Make sure you have software tools like FurMark or Heaven Benchmark to stress-test your GPU after applying undervolting settings. So before I did this I had PL2 Yellow on Core and EDP OTHER on the ring. Prepare for stability testing: Undervolting requires thorough stability testing to ensure that your system remains stable under various workloads. You might as well see if there's some performance left on the table. I increase PP0 Current limit to 256 and I maxed out ICCMAX on both core and the cache and now I'm playing around with undervolting (I'm using throttlestop 9.2). Even a -30mV undervolt meant nearly 14 more battery life in a frame-capped game, and it helped performance a bit in two others. I have an i5 9300hf processor and I followed the unclewebb advice on how to set up i5 9300h (basically the same CPU). Although gaming was stable with undervolt applied, mprime failed. There are three primary types of GPU tests: actual games, synthetic graphics card benchmarks, and compute benchmarks.Running a game you actually play, or want to play, is usually the best way to. u/CryoByte33, these tools and instructions would probably be good to incorporate into your guide. So I will describe my problem as much as possible. Thank you for posting this I have been trying to find free stress tests and benchmarks to test stability and performance. Open up CPU-Z and HWMonitor, check your current voltages and temperatures while running a CPU benchmark, and write down the values.
